Have you ever thought that someone who is always with you would suddenly pass away? Life is unpredictable. Everything can be changed just in a flash.

RD, one of my best friends. I had known him when I was in the third grade. I could remember every time I went to his house that his sister would take us out for dinner. Even though I didn’t know her too much, I could still feel that she was a nice person. One day my friend told me that his sister has diagnosed with cancer. I felt shock on hearing this news. I never expected that would happen to her. Her health was deteriorating physical and mentally as time passed by. Unfortunately, she died last year at the age of 28.

My friend once had told me “Not until you lose something did you realize how important it was.” I didn’t know how to explain what kind of feeling of losing beloved one. It was complicated. However, I realized one thing from this tragedy. The family and our beloved friends are priceless treasures. While you have almost everything, including money, power, and fame, you will not be happy without family and friends. We all should spend as much time as we can with our family.

do my best

The college entry exam is only two months away from now on. I wish I can do my best. No matter what’s the outcome. If I have tried my best, I will never be sorry or grieved of the result.
I believe as the hard work I’ve done so far, I’m getting closer to my goal.

Nei-hu

With Nei-hu’s rapid development and industrialized economy, it’s easy to over a lot of wonderful things in this place. Even though Nei-hu has become a prosperous place, there are still many amazing place waiting for you to discover.

For example, the Bi-hu Park. With its natural splendor, the Bi-hu Parkis a place that you can really relax yourself whenever you feel depressed. The feature of the park is a big lake. You can see many people jogging and fishing around the lake. For one time, I went to fish in Bi-hu with my friend. We were caught by police because we were in the no-fishing area. That was the first time I as well as my friend got a warning ticket from police. That was a very weird experience but also funny.

Li Shan High School was another good place in Nei-hu. I could still remember before the school was constructed. It was a hill which was full of weeds. I used to come here and played with my friends. We slid down the hill with the cardboard. But now it has become a lovely school. I am also a student in this school. What a dramatic change. No one would expect that ordinary hill could become such a beautiful school.

Unless you come to visit Nei-hu, you would never know the beauty in Nei-hu.

I Can’t Write a Poem

I Can’t Write a Poem

The teacher is teaching

How to write a poem

She is saying

The poem must be heartwarming

Also encouraging

But my brain is jamming

You may say I was kidding

The time is fleeting

It is still confusing

I am just scribbling

No kidding

This line is the ending

Diary02/21/08

                                                                                                                                                Feb.21

Dear Diary, Yesterday my friends and I thought we had to go to cram school at Taipei main station. Everything was just as usual but actually it was not. After school we took the school bus in haste. The bus was full of students and it was very crowded. Then when we got on the cram school, we soon realized that we didn’t have any class on weekdays in this semester. We started to complain about why the cram school didn’t inform us earlier. I thought everything was over but the funniest thing was not coming yet. When we were waiting for the bus, some people just cut our line. That really annoyed us. We decided to wait for the next bus. “Here comes the bus” Vanessa said. We got on the bus and started to talk about what a rough day we had that day. However we noticed that we had taken the wrong bus later on. When I got home, it was almost eight o’clock. The whole thing almost took three hours but I didn’t feel angry. That was really a special experience. To look the bright side, not everyone had the chance to encounter all these things in the same day. In other word, this is life. Life suppose to be consist of suprise and happiness.

The Sunset

sunset,原由 peter955141 上載。

When I lived with my cousin in Oakland, I always enjoy the views of sunset. It was really amazing because you can see the beautiful views of sunset almost every day. And they were all different but magnificent. Every time I felt frustrated, I would look out the window and just relaxed myself. What could be better than seeing all those views every day?
This picture was one of my favorite photos I shot.

In the English class last week, the teacher was teaching lesson 30 “We are the world.” After a while, Jason fell asleep because he had burned midnight oil the night before for the coming exam. For another reason, Jason didn’t like English class at all.

Suddenly, Jason found himself becoming an English teacher. However Jason didn’t know that he was in his dream. Jason started to teach English, but actually he didn’t know how to make his class more interesting. He taught the English grammar in a boring way so every student fell asleep in class. No matter how hard he tried, none of the students would pay attention to him. “Hey! Grammar is very important!” Jason yelled. The classmate who sat next to Jason heard him murmuring in his sleep. He could not stop gigging for this funny act.

Meanwhile, the English teacher noticed that Jason was sleeping. He walked toward Jason and then knocked on Jason’s desk. When the teacher was about to wake Jason up, both of them yelled at the same time. “Wake up!” the whole class burst into laughter. The teacher felt weird of Jason’s reaction. But as a matter of fact, Jason was just trying to wake all his students in his dream at the same time.

Composition

On Tom’s birthday, his mother decided to buy him a dog because she knew Tom’s favorite animal was dog. His mother wanted Tom would never forget this birthday. When Tom got the pet from his mother, he was so joyful. He never thought that his mother would buy a dog for him.

One day, Tom decided to walk the dog. Tom was too young to take care of the dog, so he just let the dog play around. After a while, Tom found the dog missing. He was anxious and petrified. He anxiously looked around the park and he said to himself, “Everything will be fine. I will find my dog.” Unfortunately, no matter how hard he sought, the dog was still missing. He could not find any trace of the dog. Tom was sad because of the missing pet. He also wondered what will happen to him if his mother knew this.

Tom cried all the way home. When Tom just arrived in front of his home, he couldn’t believe what he saw. The dog already went home by itself. Tom burst into tears. He ran toward the dog and gave it a big hug. “Never ever do this again, puppy! You really scared me,” Tom said.

Picture from College Entrance Exam Center

cats2.jpg

Jane was kindergarten student, who loves cats very much. She would go to her favorite park every weekend because of a cute kitty. Furthermore, every time Jane waved her hand, the little kitty would come toward her and played with her. One day, Jane decided to take the cute kitty home. “Can I have this kitty, Mom?” Jane asked. “Yes, but make sure you can take good care of it,” Jane’s mother said. In other words, Jane had to take care of the cute kitty by herself and be responsible.

Subsequently, every time Jane went to the park, she would take another cute kitty home. As a result, there were more and more cats in her house. In fact, Jane was too young to taking care so many cats only by her own. She just let all the cats play around. As a result, all the cats became more and more wild day by day. Little did Jane know the real tragedy was about to come.

One day, when Jane got home from school, she was so shocked that she couldn’t believe what she saw. “Oh my god, what a mess!” she screamed. The house was messed up, especially the living room. The lamp was broken and the sofa had been spoiled. What was worse, the cats’ footprints were all over the floor. Jane knew if her mother saw this, all of these cats would be sent away. But as a matter of fact, what happened today was because of Jane’s irresponsibility. Hope Jane will learn something after this event.

My Cousin, Lanner

After I went to America, I lived with my cousin named Lanner. I would never forget what he taught me. He taught me how to study English and a lot of things. When I got to America, my English was very horrible. My cousin told me that he had gone through the same kind of situation when he was young. He shared with me a lot of his own experience, which inspired me a lot. For example, he didn’t even know any English before he went to America. Through his effects, he graduated from Berkeley University with honors. And now he has his own business.
I remember that every time I saw him, he always smiled. One day I asked him what made him so happy every day. “Then why don’t you be happy every day?” he said. That really impressed me. Sometimes I had some problems with my homework. He always helped me out, even though he was busy. He always gave me some suggestions, but when I asked him what I should do. He would say “You can listen to others’ suggestions, but you are the one who can make the finial decision.” I really learned a lot from him. He really changes the way I act and the way I think.
My cousin is a kind-hearted person. He is 35 years old, optimistic and earnest. If everyone has some important persons his in life. Here I have to say my cousin, Lanner, who is one of the most important persons in my life.
